An interactive whiteboard is a human-computer-interactive PC input device that includes an electronic whiteboard and associated application software.

The electronic whiteboard detects the position of the finger or writing pen and transmits this information to the connected computer, where it is integrated with the image on the computer screen and projected onto the interactive whiteboard through a projector, thus forming a complete interactive presentation system.

One of the most important technologies of this product is that the fingertip or pen tip on the touch board can be accurately positioned and evaluated, allowing for multi-touch operation. Users can use their fingers or pen tips to directly control the computer on the interactive whiteboard and can edit, modify, mark up, geometrically draw, print, and save computer screen content as easily as using a mouse.
